In today’s digital world, we are surrounded by endless options—what to watch, what to buy, or where to go. While it might seem that having more choices gives us more freedom, the reality is often the opposite. Too many choices can leave us feeling confused, overwhelmed, and even less satisfied with the decisions we make. This is known as the paradox of choice, and it is especially relevant in our digital age where options feel limitless.

Take Netflix as an example. You open the platform intending to find a movie, but instead of quickly selecting something interesting, you face hundreds or even thousands of titles. At first, this wide selection feels exciting, but soon it becomes overwhelming. You may spend so much time scrolling that you either choose something you’re not fully happy with or worry about missing out on a better option. This common experience perfectly demonstrates how the paradox of choice affects us.

Some companies tackle this issue by simplifying choices. A great example is Apple. Rather than releasing dozens of product versions, Apple launches a limited selection, such as one main iPhone model with only a few color options. This strategy makes customers feel more confident and satisfied with their purchase. In many cases, less really is more.
